Free Backyard Chicken Photos
These are photographs of our own birds, taken on our own coop. Every one is identified correctly — which sounds like a low bar until you notice how many breed pages online illustrate one breed with a photograph of another.
Use them on your site, in a newsletter, or in print. All we ask is a visible credit that links back. There is a copy-paste snippet under every photo.
The licence, in full
- You may use these photographs on a website, blog, newsletter, or in print, including commercially, and you may crop or resize them to fit.
- You must include a visible credit reading Photo: The Chicken Geek, linked to thechickengeek.com. On a web page the credit must be a working link — that is the only thing we are asking for in exchange.
- You may not resell them, upload them to a stock-photo library, or include them in a dataset for training generative models.
- We keep copyright. This licence is non-exclusive, and we can't revoke it for a copy you've already published in good faith.
Need a resolution larger than 2400px, or a bird or angle that isn't here? Ask us. We shoot our own flock and are usually happy to.
